My local spot next door is Tamraght in Morocco. I love coming back to this calm desert place.
It all didn’t start too well - as I was coming from Australia with a severe foot injury that was just about healed up I immediately hurt my ribs on my first week. The pain lasted for six weeks but that couldn’t stop me from coming back.
The next time I was already friends with too many of the locals working in surf rentals, hostels and bars. So cozy and slow-paced.
It's still hard to find proper words for the scenes kiwi country had to offer. Most things can't be described with just pictures. The endless drives, the music, the feelings while passing one area after another. Magic.
Highlights are definitely the stars at night, the rough coastlines with endless roads and the hundreds of waterfalls between the beautiful mountains.
This became an ongoing gallery as Australia seems to be my second home now.
I initially spent a year in Oz. Six months of travelling, six months of working in Manly (Sydney). So many experiences - socialising with the local culture - surfing - endless roads and beaches. With the gallery I try to somehow reflect the intensity of my current adventure and the time I had.
Sri Lanka has been a familiar place even though I haven't been visiting this gem ever before. Tropical storms as a warm welcome, on-going dramatic cloud formations and sunsets. The kindness of everyone surrounding us was outstanding. People here are calm and grateful for what nature has to offer.
We met the coolest locals and I still feel the refreshing breeze of wind from riding the motorbike in the hot, humid island. Just the surf hasn't been amazing.
Once Again Dolomites caught my attention. This time clouds and fog during autumn were my theme.
Although being in India for a short time only, it left a mark. The places I was able to visit and the people I met were so extraordinairy. Especially Varanasi offers immense relegious spirit and there is a lot to learn about the indian circle of life a.k.a. Karma.
My relationship with the mountains was never as fulfilling as it was in the Himalayas. Trekking in the Annapurna Conservation Area gives you a taste of how small we are. Those beautiful Giants have been and always will be there - even if we are long gone.
In November 2016 I visited Cambodia - a first glimpse of Asia for me. The country is a stunner - kind people all over the place. I definately fell in love with this culture that, beside its recent past, offers great ancient relicts and natural beauty.
In 2017 I had the opportunity to design my own skateboard deck series for skatedeluxe skateshop.
So I got in contact with the coolest looking mouth I know. Shooting was super fun.
