Once again I felt like visiting Indonesia since the Balinese treated me so very well. I've been working around the Northern Beaches in Sydney for over two months and it has been winter so I thought some sun, surfing and waterfalls could be super sweet as well as to catch up with some friends I haven't seen in a while.
I missed the great vibes in Canggu, the easy and consistent surf and the great spontaneous parties and got all of it. Along visiting familiar places I also made it to undiscovered areas and made some great new friends even if my stay only lasted 11 days.
I think this island never gets boring and has so much variety to it. The people are awesome - for example I booked a villa in the north because it had a basketball bucket in the yard and it turned out that I had the whole place for myself and the owner didn't mind if my friends also stay there.
Finding the place was kind of an adventure as well - the house was not to be found on the marked spot in google maps but after visiting another local basketball court I met someone who knew the villa with the hoop and led me to the owners place.
Ah yeah and then there was that earthquake on Lombok which reached over the whole way to Bali. It's really an interesting experience to make and I am happy all my friends are safe and lucky that nothing really happened in Ubud where I was located.
See ya again Bali!
